Game Description:

A skateboarding / third person shooter hybrid game about kickflipping and killing demons! This is a wave based shooter where you fight demons & become more powerful as your trick combo increases.

This game was developed by me and 9 peers at Fitchburg State University, for our senior year game design capstone project. We worked on this for around 40 hours a week, for 6 months, in a game studio office space.  I contributed to the gameplay design of this game, as well as most of the game's code.

On this project, these are some the various things I programmed:

  • Player movement

  • Half-pipe vertical collision generation

    • This lets the player stay on the plane of the half-pipe surface when going off of one​

  • Player weapons

  • Player procedural animation

  • Player abilities

  • Player tricks & combo meter

  • General game progression systems

  • Game UI 

  • Game menus

  • Cutscene systems

  • Player camera system

  • Main menu UI creation in Adobe Illustrator
